Terms of use
Version 1.0 · Last updated:
The terms for using LiftSlot, for garages and other businesses.
1. Who we are, and who these terms are for
LiftSlot is provided by:
- Erotronics, obrt za usluge, a Croatian sole-trader business (obrt), owned by Dominik Oreč
- Address: Put Strinje 35A, 21212 Kaštel Sućurac
- OIB (Croatian tax number): 40273465235
- E-mail: kontakt@liftslot.com
- Phone: +385 95 345 2239
- Not in the VAT system.
LiftSlot is for businesses only: car repair shops, tyre shops and other trades and companies. It isn't offered to consumers. By creating an account you confirm that you're signing up for a business and that you may accept these terms on its behalf.
These terms, the privacy policy and the Data Processing Agreement together form the agreement between your business (“you”) and us. You accept the terms and the Data Processing Agreement by ticking the box when you sign up.
2. What the service does
LiftSlot is a program that runs in the browser. Today it lets you:
- keep a schedule of jobs by lift or bay, and move jobs around;
- publish an online booking page where customers pick a service and a free time, with automatic or manual confirmation;
- keep customers and their vehicles with a history of work, prices and mileage;
- prepare messages to customers that you send yourself through WhatsApp, SMS or Viber;
- add staff with a password or a PIN, with different roles;
- export your customers, vehicles and appointments, and delete a customer's personal data.
LiftSlot doesn't send SMS or e-mails to your customers by itself, doesn't issue invoices to your customers, and isn't an accounting or fiscalisation program. We may improve and change features over time. If we remove something important you rely on, we'll tell you in advance.
3. Your account
- Give correct details and keep them up to date.
- Keep passwords and PINs to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what your staff do with the accounts you give them.
- As the owner, you decide who gets access and with which role, and you remove access when someone leaves.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone has got into your account.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use the service to:
- break the law, or store data you have no right to process;
- store special categories of personal data (such as health data) or data about criminal convictions; the service isn't built for them;
- send spam or unsolicited messages to people who aren't your customers;
- try to get into other garages' data, test or bypass our security, or overload the service;
- copy, resell or rent out the service, or build a competing product from it.
5. Free trial
Every new garage gets 30 days with all features, free and without a card. Before the trial ends, you can choose monthly or yearly payment. If you don't, the account becomes read-only: you can still see and export your data, but you can't add new bookings. 12 months after the trial ended, a read-only account is deleted with all its data. We e-mail the owner 30 days before, so there's still time to subscribe or export the data.
6. Prices and payment
- Prices are in euros: 29 € a month, or 290 € a year.
- Prices are final. We're not in the VAT system, so no VAT is added. Invoices carry the note “Nije u sustavu PDV-a prema čl. 90. st. 2. Zakona o PDV-u.” (not in the VAT system under Article 90(2) of the Croatian VAT Act). For customers from other EU countries: [[PROVJERITI s knjigovođom: PDV za strane kupce]]
- You pay in advance for each month or year, by card through Stripe. The subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
- For each payment you get a fiscalised invoice by e-mail, issued through Solo (solo.com.hr).
- If a payment fails, we'll tell you and try again. If it still isn't paid after 7 days, the account becomes read-only until it is.
- We can change prices with at least 30 days' notice by e-mail. A new price applies from your next billing period, and you can cancel before then.
Billing isn't live yet. Until it is, every account is on the free trial.
7. Founding offer
The first 20 garages that start a paid monthly subscription pay 19 € a month instead of 29 €, for as long as that subscription stays active without interruption. The offer is for monthly payment only, and only for new subscriptions. If the subscription is cancelled or stays unpaid, the founding price ends, and a new subscription is at the regular price. The founding price belongs to the garage's account and can't be transferred.
8. Cancelling
You can cancel at any time, with no notice period. Cancelling stops the next renewal: you keep full access until the end of the month or year you've already paid for, and then the account becomes read-only. We don't refund the unused part of a paid period, including a yearly subscription.
9. Your data, export and deletion
Your garage's data is yours. We use it only to provide the service to you, as set out in the Data Processing Agreement and the privacy policy.
- Export: the owner can download customers, vehicles and appointments as CSV files at any time, also while the account is read-only.
- Deleting the account: the owner can ask for deletion in Settings. The garage closes at once, and after 30 days we delete it for good with all its data. Until then, write to us and we can restore it. Backups disappear within 6 more hours.
- Read-only accounts: after the trial or a subscription ends, the account stays read-only for 12 months, and then we delete it with all its data. We e-mail the owner 30 days before.
10. Your responsibilities towards your customers
For your customers' data, your garage is the controller under the GDPR and we are your processor. That means you:
- need a legal basis to record and use your customers' data, and must tell them how you use it;
- answer your customers' requests about their data. The app helps: you can correct data, export it, and delete a customer's personal data with one button;
- are responsible for the messages you send to customers through WhatsApp, SMS or Viber, and for the information on your booking page (services, prices, opening hours);
- keep the data you enter accurate, and don't enter more than you need.
11. Availability
We do our best to keep LiftSlot running at all times and fix problems quickly; planned maintenance is announced in advance when possible. We don't give an uptime guarantee: the service can still be interrupted by problems at our providers or on the internet. We recommend exporting your data from time to time.
12. Intellectual property
The software, the LiftSlot name and the website belong to us. While your account is active, you may use the service for your business. This right isn't exclusive and can't be transferred. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
13. Liability
- We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit, lost business or missed appointments, or for damage caused by our providers' outages, by your staff, or by data you entered.
- Our total liability towards you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the damage happened.
- These limits don't apply to damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, or where the law doesn't allow liability to be limited.
14. Suspension and termination by us
We may make your account read-only or suspend it if you don't pay, or if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Where we can, we'll warn you first and give you time to fix it. If there's a security risk or the law requires it, we may act straight away. If we end the agreement, you'll have at least 30 days to export your data, unless the law prevents it.
15. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. For important changes, we'll tell you at least 30 days in advance, in the app or by e-mail. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
16. Law and disputes
Croatian law applies, without its conflict-of-law rules and without the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. We'll try to resolve any dispute by agreement first. If that fails, the competent court in Split decides.
